Unplanned Outage - Duo Two-Step Login Issues

<div>There are reports of issues when trying to authenticate with Two-Step Login (Duo). The vendor is investigating. Push responses are leading to an error, "Page access not allowed. Your Duo account does not have access to this application. Please contact your IT help desk."</div>

Scheduled Service Change - CIT Rhodes Hall Data Center Generator Offline Overnight Feb. 15-16, 2025

<div>In support of the Rhodes Hall elevator replacement project, the CIT Rhodes Hall data center will be without generator backup power starting at 8:00pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025 through 8:00am Sunday, February 16, 2025. During this time, the data center will run on normal building power. Some systems in the Rhodes Hall Data center are also on UPS battery-backup. In the event of a building power failure or other power issue while the generator offline, any systems not on UPS battery-backup will go down immediately.

<div>On Thursday, February 20, 2025, between approximately 5:00am and 7:00am, PeopleSoft Student Center, Faculty Center, Student Essentials, ePay, Student Admissions, Contributor Relations, Financial Aid, Student Financials, Student Records, and Student Employment (PSES) may be unavailable during the migration of online and batch objects to PeopleSoft Production (PSPROD).</div>

New Travel user interface launches Feb. 13

A new user experience for the Concur Travel module will go live for Cornell users on February 13. The new interface features a refreshed, modern design consistent with the Expense and Request modules.

Performance Issue - Possible Slow Response for Some DNS and NTP Queries

<div>CIT is investigating a campus DNS (domain name service ) and NTP (network time protocol) server that has gone offline. Campus DNS and NTP service has three servers and the other two are functioning normally. Queries to the impacted server may present a slow response time before an attempt is made to contact another.</div>

Scheduled Service Change - Zoom for Outlook Add-in Moves to New Authentication Protocol

<div>Microsoft is deprecating Outlook legacy tokens with their introduction of a new authentication protocol, Nested App Authentication (NAA). The deprecating of Outlook legacy tokens will impact the Zoom for Outlook add-in's s ability to access calendar data.&nbsp;<br><br>To ensure continued functionality of the Zoom for Outlook add-in, it is necessary to transition the add-in's authentication to NAA. This is a rescheduled change, to take place Thursday, February 6, 2025, between 2:30pm and 3:00pm.

Unplanned Outage - RingCentral SMS (Text Messaging) Outage

<div>Update, 6/9/2025: CIT staff continue to work with campus partners to find potential solutions that address legal, privacy, and risk management aspects of compliance.<br><br>Update: Although sending SMS or text messages has been approved for a limited number of RingCentral phone accounts, there is a significant amount of administrative overhead necessary to comply with the new wireless industry standards.

Unplanned Outage - Email link issues for Microsoft Bookings and Planner messages

<div>Microsoft Bookings and Planner, both opt-in features, may be experiencing URLs being blocked by Microsoft Safe Links in the email messages distributed through these tools.&nbsp;<br><br>Behavior: The recipient clicks on the link, producing an error message rather than opening the correct page.
