Scheduled Service Change - DMARC - Enforcing standards for delivery

<div>On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 6:00am, CIT will enable a transport rule for all inbound email. After the change, email that does not pass DMARC standards will be rejected and will return a bounce message to the sender explaining the delivery failure. <br><br>Email sent using Cornell’s Microsoft Mail Service (Microsoft Exchange) or Cornell’s Google Mail Service (Cornell Google Workplace) will meet DMARC policy and be delivered. Note that, for the time being, email discussion list traffic will not be rejected by the DMARC policy change.

Unplanned Outage - Widespread Microsoft 365 Outages

<div>7:00pm ET Vendor update: Microsoft 365 customers may see degraded service functionality or be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services. In their 6:40pm ET update, the vendor says the problem still persists. Their next update is expected around 11:20pm ET. Scheduled Service Change - PeopleSoft: Windows and Linux OS Patching

<div>PeopleSoft Student Center, Faculty Center, Student Essentials, ePay, Student Admissions, Contributor Relations, Financial Aid, Student Financials, Student Records, Student Employment (PSES) will be unavailable on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 5am (ET) until approximately 10am for regularly scheduled server maintenance. This maintenance may not require the fully scheduled time.</div>

Performance Issue - Verizon Outage Nationwide, may impact access to CIT services

<div>UPDATE: Verizon knows the cause and is working to bring the affected system back online. It is primarily affecting East Coast customers, but there are some effects elsewhere depending on device registration/roaming. AT&amp;T has no known issues in their network, but customers may experience issues calling Verizon users.<br><br>Previously announced: there is a significant Verizon outage nationwide. Verizon phones are showing as SOS and cannot place phone calls. This outage may impact customers' access to CIT services.</div>

Performance Issue - Intermittent login issues for Office 365 Services

<div>CIT is investigating reports of intermittent login issues for Outlook on the Web and other Microsoft 365 services. Please include customer's department when reporting additional issues. CIT has identified a root cause and is working on a solution.</div>

Scheduled Service Change - FINAL REMINDER: Duo Certificate Authority (CA) bundle expiration

<div><strong>On Monday, February 2, 2026</strong>, Duo will replace their root certificate authority bundle, which will cause unsupported versions of their software to no longer receive Duo Push requests or be able to complete Duo Mobile-based verification. Additionally, any server-side integrations that are out of date and have the old certificate bundled will be unable to contact Duo’s API.<br><br><strong>Duo users must update to supported versions of the app</strong>. They have been contacted by email and notified via IT News.

Scheduled Service Change - Migration of Quest Active Roles ver. 8.2

<div>The Quest ARS service will be migrated from the current 7.3 version to a new 8.2 version. Users must install the new 8.2 MMC client to use the new instance. The web interface will require Duo multi-factor authentication to log in.<br><br>This was previously scheduled in July 2025 but not completed at that time.</div>
