<div>On Monday, Oct 12, from 1-5am, Zoom will perform service maintenance at SJC (San Jose California) Datacenter. During the maintenance window there may be performance issues for the following services: Zoom Meetings (Zoom Meetings, Live Transcription, Live Streaming, Meeting Dial-in/Telephony, Zoom Conference Room Connector, Recording, Zoom Webinars, Zoom AI) and Zoom Rooms (Zoom Rooms)</div>

<div>On Tuesday Oct 13, 2026, from 6am-5pm, IT staff will do the final cut-over of the Production Cornell domain from ADFS (federated authentication) to Microsoft Entra managed authentication as part of the ADFS retirement project. All NetIDs have already been migrated through the pilot process, and there should be no impact to account holders. Post-cutover validation will be performed to confirm successful cloud authentication.</div>

<div>The hosting vendor Contegix/Valiantys will perform an upgrade of the Jira and Confluence application Linux OS. People who use Jira and Confluence Production applications will not be able to access/update those applications during the maintenance window.</div>

<div>On Monday Oct 5, 2026, between 3-6am, Simplelists will be updated by the vendor. During this window the administrative web interface may be unavailable for up to 10 minutes, and there may be a slight delay in processing e-list email.</div>

<div>On Monday, Oct 5, 2026, from 4-5pm, Zoom Notes, also called My Notes, will be enabled for the Cornell community.<br><br>In Zoom meetings, this will appear as a new clickable icon in the upper right of the Zoom window and will also be available via the Zoom desktop application. Zoom Notes provides a dedicated, built-in AI note-taking app, which allows people to capture thoughts, action items, and more from within a Zoom Meeting. In addition, Notes can be used collaboratively with other participants in a meeting, as well as shared with others outside of meetings.

<div>On Tuesday, Oct 13, 2026 from 4-7am, IT staff are upgrading outers at the Rhodes Node and CCC Node. Wired and wireless network connectivity will be impacted in the Rhodes/CCC nodes intermittently during the upgrades.

<div>On October 30, 2026, Qualtrics will permanently retire the URL Proxy service. Any link containing proxy.qualtrics.com will stop working that day — including redirects, images, and meeting invites embedded in your surveys and distributions. Updates made after October 30 will not restore links that have already broken. People who use proxy links in Qualtrics have already been contacted.</div>

<div>There is currently an outage of alumni email forwarding through a legacy Cornell-hosted system. In 2018, whoiam forwarding of email which was sent to a Cornell address to an outside email account ended. Alumni who were using this method and had not switched to setting forwarding inside Gmail were transferred to the system that is currently out of service.

<div>Zoom Webinar users who have registration enabled are experiencing spam registrations that are flooding their registration list. Zoom is aware of the issue and they expect to fix it in October. Steps can be taken to mitigate the spam registrations.<br><br>We are recommending that users switch their registration approval from automatic to manual. For spam registrants that were automatically approved you can cancel their registration.
