For the fourth year in a row, Cornell Procurement and Payment Services (Procurement) has been awarded the Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Procurement Institute (NPI). Of this year’s award recipients, Procurement was one of 25 higher education institutions, and one of only four recipients in New York.
The award is earned by organizations that demonstrate excellence in the areas of innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement and leadership. “The ability to continue receiving this award is a testament to our staff’s commitment to stewardship, process improvement and excellence,” said Thomas Romantic, senior director of Procurement and Payment Services.
NPI is a national network of purchasing and supply management professionals. NPI’s program encourages the development of excellence as well as continued organizational improvement to earn the award annually.
