STARS Reporting

What is STARS?
The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System, or STARS, is a self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance.

Platinum Rating
Score: 85.12

 

Cornell is using its purchasing power to help build a sustainable economy. Each purchasing decision represents an opportunity to choose environmentally and socially preferable products and services and support companies with strong commitments to sustainability. Why Buy Green?

It's all about choosing products that:

  • Are the most energy efficient
  • Have a high recycled content, particularly post-consumer recycled content
  • Are the least environmentally damaging through manufacturing and disposal
  • Are made or grown locally
