International Trip ID field now available in Concur

Posted: July 30, 2024

A new field in the Concur Expense and Request modules allows you to enter your International Trip ID when traveling internationally. Including this ID number in your report helps Cornell report international travel more accurately and provides a verifiable trail in case of a federal audit.

As a recipient of federal funding, Cornell must comply with federally regulated reporting requirements for all international travel. Therefore, faculty and staff members and students must register all international Cornell travel. See University Policy 8.5, Risk Management for International Travel.

How to Add Your International Trip ID

After registering your travel in the Travel Registry, you can enter the International Trip ID number in Concur. Your Trip ID number typically appears in your registered trip in the Travel Registry or at the top of the confirmation email you receive after registering a trip.

In Concur, the International Trip ID Number field will appear when you select “International Travel” as a Report Type in the Expense report, or as the Request Type in the Request header. Enter your number there.

If your department uses the Dept. Pre-trip Approval Request, the Trip ID number is a required field if you are traveling internationally.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Concur support team.
