Accounts Receivable

  • Deposit cash and checks and record transactions in the general ledger.
  • Process student and employee receivables (cash advances).
  • Process inter-departmental and inter-unit transactions.
  • NYS sales tax compliance and review in conjunction with the Division of Financial Services.
  • Funds received via DFS Hosted Payment page is reconciled on a weekly basis.
    • Units using the Hosted Payment Page for revenue-generating activity will be charged the credit card fee (2%) associated with the revenue.

Accepting Funds

Departments can instruct payers to use the DFS Hosted Payment site to send payments to Cornell with a credit card or bank transfer (ACH).

Checks received can be mailed to 377 Pine Tree Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850. Include full KFS account, including object code, and description of deposit.

Repaying Cornell

If you owe funds to Cornell, the Shared Services Center will notify you by email and give you instructions for repayment. If you don't receive a notice and you have an outstanding amount due, contact us.
