The Capital Asset Transfer System (CATS) has moved!

Posted: September 3, 2023

The Capital Asset Transfer System, also known as CATS, has moved to a new platform! The new system is managed through TeamDynamix (TDX), Cornell’s service management and request system, which will allow us to optimize CATS with workflows, approvals, and reporting capabilities.

Posting Assets in CATS

To create a capital asset listing:

  1. Visit the CATS: Cornell Asset Transfer System.
  2. Select Post an Asset.
  3. Complete the fields for your asset.
  4. Select Submit.

When you submit the form, a service request will be routed to Capital Assets for approval.

Posted assets will remain active for 30 days. A week before your post expires, you will receive a reminder and options for extending the listing or letting it expire. Instructions will be provided in all messages you receive.

Viewing Assets in CATS

To view the listing of assets:

  1. Visit the CATS: Cornell Asset Transfer System.
  2. Select Go to CATS Report. To refresh the list, simply refresh the page.

If you have any question, please reach out to the Capital Assets team at capitalassets@cornell.edu.
