Tax Information

The Office of the Bursar produces the Form 1098-T (Tuition Statement) in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS requires that Form 1098-T reports amounts paid toward qualified tuition and related expenses (box 1). Room, board, insurance, and miscellaneous fees are not reported on the form. Box 5 reports all scholarships and grants received during the calendar year.

The university can only provide general information and should not be contacted for tax advice. You must consult a tax professional or the IRS directly.
